My trip to the toy museum was an interesting one. It is amazing to see the toys children in the early 1900s play with. They are totally not children friendly at all. And they look so simple. Kids back then must be really easily entertained and amused....
Group 4: Toy Museum: - The style and making of the toys are influenced by the revolution, westernisation. - Also feature toys made in singapore in the 70s.
An interesting visit. Althought it is not directly related to my teaching subject, but the instilling of fun in the visit can be followed as an example to make our lesson rich and enriching.
Some of the toys and items are really nostalgic. Do admit that some are pretty scary...haha..
An interesting visit. However, i had expected more from the visit. nevertheless, it was a good exposure to see the variety of toys that were played in 1970s
Though they were old toys, they each carry stories and history along with them.Toys reflected what was happening and how the society was at that point of time. It was something that was also reflected in anciet art objects. I enjoyed myself quite abit and i bought a TIN TOY TOO! Weee!
Coming from a Gen. Y's point of view... I actually played with some of these toys!!! Haha! Maybe the reason why I played with those is because they were hand-me-downs from my bro and cousins. It is really nostalgic seeing some of those toys especially for me the plastic tortoise and the plasic animal-shaped pencil sharpeners. Oh! I bought a wind-up tin mouse in China. :D
Good morning everyone...
